Accessibility statement

This statement is maintained by Vantra and covers this website and the Vantra product. It is based on our own testing. We have not been independently audited, and we are not going to claim a conformance level we have not been assessed against.

What we aim for

We work to WCAG 2.2 level AA as a target. A control room is used at night, at speed, on whatever screen is in the room, so the things that help disabled users — real contrast, keyboard operation, text that resizes, meaning that does not depend on colour alone — are the same things that make the product usable at 02:00.

What is in place

  • Every core task can be completed with a keyboard alone, and the log has explicit shortcuts rather than mouse-only controls.
  • A visible focus outline on every interactive element, on both light and dark surfaces.
  • Body text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 contrast; large text and interface furniture meet 3:1.
  • Priority is never carried by colour alone — a P1 entry is labelled as well as filled.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and form labels, with live regions announcing when an entry is logged or a check falls overdue.
  • Animation, including the countdown and the demonstration ledger on the home page, holds still under prefers-reduced-motion. Clocks keep running, because a clock is information.
  • Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows to a single column without loss of content.

Known problems

  • The two-screen wall layout assumes a wide display and is not usable on a small screen. The single-screen layout is the supported alternative and does everything.
  • The site plan and some charts convey information visually; a text or table equivalent is available in exports but not yet beside every chart in the interface.
  • Spreadsheet and photograph rota import relies on reading an image, which is not an accessible input on its own. Manual entry remains available for every field.
  • Screen reader testing has been done with NVDA and VoiceOver but not with JAWS or Dragon.

Tell us about a barrier

If something stops you using Vantra, email accessibility@vantra-uk.com and describe what you were trying to do and what happened. We reply within five working days, and we will tell you honestly whether it is a quick fix or a piece of work with a date on it. If you need something in another format — a log export as accessible text, for example — ask and we will produce it.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which advises on rights under the Equality Act 2010.
